ANNOUNCEMENT

After the big success of Vietnam campaign, Echo Wing begins today, 4th of May 1999 the Baltics campaign. Host could be any pilot of Echo Wing. The hosting pilot must reports the results to Col. PeVen A.S.A.P.

Every 114th VTFW's pilot could participate to this campaign.

No revives are allowed during a mission. No cheats, except easy targeting allowed. Ejected pilots remain at the ground until the end of the current mission. Captain Saltman will create a resque mission to save him. If this special mission succed, then the ejected pilot could have another plane to continue the campaign. In other case he supposed K.I.A.

Dead pilots remain deads, till the end of the current campaign. If all Echo Wing pilots are dead, then the campaign is over and we 'll start the campaign from the begining, with all pilots revived. I wish it will be a good exercise to all of us. ERA planes and weapons only allowed. Pilots will keep the default planes of each mission.

From this campaign we 'll have a point system.

1) Every air kill counts 2 points.

2) Every ground kill counts 1 point.

3) Every landing on a carrier with grade less or equal to 50%, counts 1 point.

4) Every landing on a carrier with grade bigger than 50% counts 2 points.

5) Every landing on an airfield counts 1 point.

6) Every eject counts -2 points.

7) Several damage to a friendly unit counts -1 points.

8) Extermination of a friendly unit counts -2 points.

AWARDS

1) The alive pilot with the most total points will proposed for recognition medal & promotion.

2) The pilot with the most A2A points will proposed for the Ace Airman Medal.

3) The pilot with the most A2G points will proposed For the Ace Bomber Medal.

4) The pilots who will be alive at the end of the campaign, and they have completed at least the one third of the total missions of the campaign, (14 missions) will receive the "Baltics War's Veteran Ribbon".

Note: A pilot can win from none to all of the above awards. As more missions you fly as more possibilities you have to die or to win. The choise is yours.

Lets do our favour game more interest and fun. This is what we are all of us here.

The warm has turned. The competition is high. To all pilots <S> good hunting.

Success Lost connection with Salt after mission accomplished, before he landed. So he missed the point of landing. The mission objectives was two radars. I got both of them with F-117. Salt had to returned because he was tracked very early.

I think we blew it. We had to protect the ground attacking A-10s from bandits. We dispatched 12 of them but SU-35 fired missiles from an out of our radius distance and shot down 2 A-10s.

Me and Vet flew EF2000 in a wing. Saltman flew X-29 to another wing. As I was hunting the last SU-35, I saw in my cockpit mirror a big explotion. I did not know what happen. I searched for Vet and Saltman but I did not see them in the sky. I returned to base and landed.

I have no news from Saltman.and Vet. Inteligence services, are looking for them.

General Vet & Captain Saltman are proposed for "Purple Heart" medal.

The sound track from "TopGun" movie you are hearing now, is dedicated to our missing pilots.

The eagle dies in the sky, free and strong. This is a lyric from a greek song, that Vet likes. I miss you buddy. If you are still in one piece I 'll do everything to bring you back.

They are not impossible missions for Echo Wing. It is time to improve it.

Early morning I received a message on front of my turned off monitor appeared from nowhere. Thanks to my high improved copier software I manage to copy it. I am transfering bellow as exactly as I received it. It seems like the person sent it has a big brain damage and was under heavy shock.
I opened my radar and i saw 23 bandits coming at high speed on my twelve o clock ! The doziness i felt got worse mile per mile i past...
I turned the jammers on and I lock the first one with my AIM 120 ... I fired the misslied...kaboom , splash 1 bandit ! From the debris that the explosion caused 7 more bandits got fatal wounds and fell moment after we past...
Unfortuantely my worst fear came true..they had cryptonite, i started to shiver and my head wnet red, i could see nothing ! Flying only on pure instict i got on one on my bandits 6 and shoot him skyhigh ! But I didint notice with the 6th feeling that i posses that highly growing mountain that suddnely appeared in front of me ..Time was critical i had to act fast... my hands reached the ejection handle and i pulled it .. Alas, that was not the jump to freedom ! The enemy was fully organised, after my chute opened snippers got me, my shute looked more like than a swish cheese...
I felt with honor keeping the 114th;s insignia up where they belong

The resque helo team, brong today, the pieces of General Vet and Captain Saltman. The burial tooked place at 12:00 local time. At this time a wing of F-4J flew above the graves, imputing the proper honour to our heroes. Your will be always an example for all of us. We try to follow the path you carved.

Back to our duties now. We have to do some work out there. All the alive pilots wanted to participate, in order to complete this campaign and revenge the death of our leader.

Success Air patrol. Kalavaro was in another wing for another mission. A friendly Mig passed my firing line as I was shooting a bandit in front of me. He was lucky. I stoppet firing in time and he acquired only some bullets. But the rules are rules. So -1 point for me. FoVen fired a missile by mistake to a friendly Mig-21. It is past. -2 points for poor FoVen. 0% damage all of us.

Success Taff night mission. Helos, ZSUs SA-13, Mig-29s. One of them hit Omorfos at our returning, while I was hunting a second one. Almost 100% damage, engine in fire and he had to eject away from enemy area. Resque team bring him back to base. I lost almost all my fuels, hunting this Mig-29. I dispatched it and I had to fly 66 miles with 620libr fuels. 18000 feets. I landed with less than 100 libres in my tank.

Success Night bombing mission. I had a B-2 spirit. I ordered FoVen, Kalavaro and Intx to protect me. Because of very long distance they had to use F-22s.

Intx hit the ground when he looked his map at the return way. Kalavaro was shoted down by one SU-33. They proposed for the "Purple Heart medal" for their courage. We 'll remember you forever. (tiil next campaign at least)
